Default Mini Contest: Entry

Well, after reading Juan's note on the mini contest I've been waiting to see some entries. . .

Guess I'll be first.

It still needs some work, the Vicky character does not stand out enough, but, it's getting there.

Thanks, but, it's not finished, however, I did run across a bug in 10.5 that is causing me problems with finishing it. Working with chikako to isolate it.

Is the bug related to hdr files? hdr files that don't have the gamma in 1.0 (or something like that) are crashing my Shade 10.5

No, it has to do with certain poser textures that crash 10.5. I haven't had any of my .hdr files cause a problem as yet, but, then again, I haven't come close to trying them all!!

On the other hand, it may also have something to do with gamma settings, since it seems to be the ones that were made from high res photos. Hmmmmm!

I figured out a work around for the problem with 10.5, load your scene and .pz3's into 9.5 save your scene as a .shd file and load it into 10.5. It seems 9.5 and 10.5 .shd files are the same! Good!!! I ended up using a panoramic IBL image, one large area light and a very light touch of post work to adjust the brightness level.
